Mr. Harvey J. Hale

You are going to be missed very much. You always had a smile on your face when ever I was around.Glad to know you are in a place where there is no pain or suffering.

I had the opportunity to know Harvey Hale while employed as an Administrative Assistant / Secretary at Parma-South Presbyerian Church. He was an amazing person & am glad to have known him!

We have lost a good neighbor. Harvey would always greet you with a smile.
He will be missed.

My grandfather has been there for every step of my life from my first steps to commencements. He taught me the 'at' family: cat, rat, hat. He taught me to play the piano, until I got too frustrated trying to add in the left hand. He tried to teach me bridge, but had to be satisfied with my willingness to play Rummy or Uno, two of his favorite card games. He and grandma hid plastic Easter eggs filled with candy

He and grandma hid plastic Easter eggs filled with candy or coins every year when my siblings and I were children. Every Christmas Eve we would join them for church followed by cookies at their home. Every Halloween ended at grandpa's where the remaining coins he handed out would be divided among the grandchildren. He was present at concerts, cross country races, and a multitude of other events throughout my school years. After school, when mom worked, my grandparents were prepared with cookies and ice cream. During high school, he would pick me up at the end of the day only to hand the keys over as I drove home with my drivers permit. He continued to attend college events, including my graduation from Wooster and my White Coat Ceremony at UC. He has repeatedly given his blessing to my engagement and future marriage to Tecumseh. I will miss him as I walk down the aisle, get my Masters degree, and have children in the future. He would have treasured each of those moments as I treasured every memory I have with him.
