Today my thoughts are focused on Sue, her family, and her many dear friends as they gather to celebrate her life.

Sue was a "best friend", especially during our adolescent years. She is a part of my soul, and I will be forever grateful to her for the love, laughter & support we shared during the good times, and when life gave one of us the challenge of a tragedy.

In later years, our friendship was limited to infrequent marathon

I was Sue's cheerleader advisor at Valley Forge and I will never forget her or any of the other girls. They will always be "my kids". Sue was a breath of fresh air and I loved being around her.....she always made you laugh. We had so much fun at the football and basketball games and those memories will be with me forever. I still have the letter Sue wrote to me when I left Valley Forge.....she was such a sweetheart. My heart goes out to the entire family.

Although I can't attend the celebration of Sue's Life I will be with you all in spirit. Sue and I started school at Pearl Road together, lived close to each other, went to Parma South Presbyterian Church and her mother and my father went to High School together. Sue was a very energetic, and very popular person who everyone looked up to and enjoyed being around, in elementary school, junior high and high school.
May it help you to know that Sue will be remembered for having touched the lives of so many.

Sue was one of the first people we met when moving to Strongsville, OH in 1971. Our first children (Todd and Meredith) were born within a month of each other and were best friends until we moved to New Jersey in 1977. More importantly, Sue was our best friend. From afternoons on her patio to the dinner/card group, and neighborhood clambakes there were always good times with the Howards. Carpooling to nusery school, spending hours talking on the phone and

My relationship with Sue began in junior high school. Sue was one of the standout, good looking girls at PV, and I had a crush on her. We even had a dalliance on a class hay ride at Sidell's in Strongsville supervised by our eighth grade science teacher, Mr. Easterday, who proclaimed the next day that the class had behaved abominably, and he wouldn't be surprised if there were several pregnancies! Wow, that day we learned that a girl could

Kindergarten is a great time to meet wonderful people, Sue and I continued through school together. Though not close, she kept me laughing in many classes. She was a star, always. She was outgoing, fun and a person in charge. I am saddened she did not have an easy time, and is not here for a much longer life....she deserved it. May she rest in peace.

I met Sue 6 yrs ago when she was initially to start Pulmonary Rehab. She was so scared . Got her all fixed up, and sent her on her way to her first pulmonary rehab class. After she graduated from Phase II, she then went on to continue exercizing in Phase III. She met many awesome friends. When I left SW, I was saddened that I wouldn't be able to see them. Sue always sent me some great emails, and some not so good. LOL. I will miss her.

I met Sue Carpenter back in fifth grade when I began attending Pearl Road Elementary. I will never forget my first impression---she wore a lovely blue long-sleeved crew neck sweater with a pleated skirt. Everything about her was in order, not a flaw visual anywhere. Her hair was that rare natural blond color, and it was obviously cut by a professional. Her face was perfectly symmetrical with teeth that would never need braces. Suzanne was pert, bright, and almost intimidating

When I think of Sue my memories are immediate - I see her beautiful, giving, loving smile, and hear her spunky, happy, contagious laugh. She cared about everyone. She gracefully endured much. She is a candle in my heart.

Thank you for loving me and always being there for me! Some of my fondest memories spending summers in Cleveland growing up were those times I spent with you! Thank you for taking me to Clifton beach, all the picnics, food and the park were all masted the trapeze. When I would get sea sick you cared for me and I will never forget one night when I was a child, I had one of my painful inner ear infections.
