Frances L. Boesel (nee Dressler), 84, of Elyria, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin following a lengthy illness. She was born June 15, 1926 in Sharon Center, Ohio.

Frances was one of 14 children, number 2 in line. She was raised in the Apostolic Church and later lived as a Protestant with a deep faith and belief in God. She enjoyed being a farm girl, researching health and wellness, carpentry, craftsmanship, training and racing horses for harness racing at the Lorain County fairgrounds and Northfield Park with her beloved husband Donald. Frances took great pride in her rose garden. She was very proud of her husband Donald, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Boesel is survived by her son Tim (Debbie) Boesel of North Ridgeville, daughter Kathie (Robert) Harvey of Wellington, son Larry Boesel of Nova, Ohio, son Don (Martha) Boesel of Asheville, NC; grandchildren Tim Jr. (Lisa), Heather (Mike), Mark, Jeremy (Ava), Saundra (Justin), Tricia, Lindsey (Ted), and Lisa (Keith); great-grandchildren Owen, Brett, Justin, Alexis, Kara, Mikey, Alexandria, Kyle; siblings Mary Ellen, Shirley, Pauline, Dolores, Jack, Janice, Connie, Carol, and Roberta.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Boesel (1984); grandson Eric Louis Boesel; parents David and Cathryn (nee Leidel) Dressler; siblings Violet, Eugene, Howard, Kathleen.

Funeral service will be 11am Friday, June 3 at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street, Elyria. Barbara Habecker, Busch Celebrant, will officiate. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, 3535 Medina Road, Akron. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8pm Thursday and 10-11am Friday.
